Showing
the way in aerospace training
Barry College’s Centre for Aircraft Maintenance
Training has quickly established itself
as a place of excellence in the aerospace
sector due to its groundbreaking range
of facilities, training programmes, design
and location.
Earlier this year, the
Centre was highlighted as a Network for
Excellence for Aerospace by ELWa, Education
and Learning Wales and was awarded funding
to spread best practice, as a source of
expertise for employers in the sector.
The Centre offers facilities
that are second to none and are constantly
being invested in. IT runs many programme
that are unique to Wales and is now leading
the field in the development of a major
e-learning programme for technicians and
engineers across Europe to study for the
new JAR-66 licences.
Te reflect its
growing status, the centre is to be renamed
The International Centre for Aerospace
Training (ICAT). The official launch will
take place later this year.
